Have you ever needed to enter time for several of your employees at one time? Have you collected time from your team in the field and had to upload it to your time tracking system? Do you find yourself constantly reminding your staff to get their time reports in on time? Clocktower makes the time capture process extremely easy. Because of Clocktower’s unique utilization of Divisions and Groups, it is simple for your company to set up business units, profit and cost centers or any number of operational/organizational structures. You can even set up individual managers with approval responsibility at the Division and Group levels. This allows you to control at the account owner level which Division owners can see which Groups, and which Group owners can see and approve their employees’ time. By setting up projects and time types at the Group level – Groups own the employees and projects – the Group owner/s can enter, approve and track time for their employees. Additionally, Division owners can view all of the Groups within their account. The most exciting part of this is the versatility.
We decided to use the terms Division and Group as titles because we want our clients to remain open minded about how they use Clocktower. There are literally unlimited possibilities in using Clocktower. I will give you a few examples to help illustrate:
Example Company A: The account owner set up their Divisions as their clients. This allowed the account owners’ clients to set up Groups that match their own profit centers and office locations.
Example Company B: The account owner set up Divisions to match their profit and cost centers across their entire US operation. Groups were then used to match their clients. Since Groups own projects, the Group and Division owners had constant visibility into the time worked on specific projects and clients.
Example Company C: The account owner set up only one Division which owned several Groups matching all of their business units. Employees were then set up in appropriate Groups matching their organizational chart.
